PS Engineering intercom named >>Gear of the Year<< by prestigious publication.
Lenoir City TN - PS Engineering's intercom systems have been awarded the "Gear of the Year" for the Best Panel Intercom category, by the publication Aviation Consumer. Each year, the publication selects an item that their staff has reviewed that represents the best product in that category. In the August 2001 issue, Aviation Consumer tapped the world's leading mounted intercom maker as the best performer, too. PS Engineering was selected from a field that by the publication's calculation is "close to two dozen at last count."
In response to the award, company president Mark Scheuer said, "Audio is our focus at PS Engineering. We feel that it is among the most important aspects of aviation, because the audio is with the pilot from radio master on, to radio master off. Any deficiencies become annoying very quickly."
Founded in 1985 by Mark Scheuer and Eric Person, PS Engineering has grown from a portable intercom to a product line for most general aviation application. The PM1000II is the most installed intercom in the world (according to industry group Aircraft Electronics Association data).
"Our commitment to our customers has brought us success, which is reflected in the Gear of the Year award, "continues Mr. Scheuer. "Our corporate philosophy is to provide performance, utility, value, reliability, and customer support. Our customers, dealers, and now Aviation Consumer, have shown us through our success that we have our priorities in order." "Aviation Consumer is a well-respected publication. Since they don't take any advertisements, they are completely unbiased toward companies. They only care about their subscribers, who are our customers, too."
PS Engineering offers seven monaural and six stereo intercom systems, including integrated Compact Disc systems. Most are FAA-approved, and all are manufactured in the U.S.A. at the PS Engineering plant.
