Eclipse Aviation Selects PS Engineering For Their Audio%Control System!
5-March-2007 Lenoir City, Tenn. - PS Engineering, Inc. and Eclipse Aviation Inc. have reached an agreement to provide a digital audio panel for their use in the Eclipse 500 Very Light Jet.
The PMA500 is a remote audio control system, based on proven patented technology, that interfaces with the AVIO Avionics Suite for audio selection, mode control, intercom and marker beacon indication. PS Engineering's track record of agile and cost effective designs, from concept to deployment along with their renown ProSupport(tm), made them a logical partner for Eclipse.
"This is another case where one of the most innovative companies in the industry, Eclipse Aviation, comes to a firm that has specialized and excels in audio control for over 20 years. PS Engineering, Inc. has an outstanding industry reputation of fulfilling the needs of airframe manufacturers and end user alike" said company founder Mark Scheuer. "Our ability to deliver a cost- effective and timely solution for a specific audio requirement makes us the logical choice for Eclipse.
"The PMA500 takes audio control to the next level. Based upon proven technology, while adding system integration effectively utilizes our digital communications technology to ensure logical and precise operation, while keeping the fundamentals of reliability. For Eclipse, we knew that we needed to bring our expertise as well as our proven designs to the table, and have the production capability to back it up."
"Both of our companies thrive on innovation, continues Scheuer, "as the Eclipse 500 captures the Very Light Jet marketplace, PS Engineering's extensive track record shows their capability in meeting Eclipse's needs for optimum audio control."
The new audio panel will have the signature features of PS Engineering products, such as IntelliVox(r), in-flight entertainment input, and dual transmit split audio capability.
IntelliVox(r) is a patented squelch protocol developed by PS Engineering that eliminates manual intercom squelch, adjusting dynamically to cockpit sound conditions. IntelliVox(r) has been proven in thousands of installations since 1998. By eliminating this control, IntelliVox(r) makes the audio panel ergonomically friendly for the cockpit, and allows crew to communication seamlessly.
Production deliveries of the PMA500 will begin in May. Founded in 1985, PS Engineering has become a leading manufacturer of general aviation intercoms and audio control systems. With a network of over 600 authorized dealer/installers worldwide, the company is a leader in retrofit avionics as well as original aircraft equipment installation.
